Invent Your Own RC Car - Report

What better way to learn about engineering and coding than by building your own remote control car?

During this exciting workshop, students became engineers for the day, choosing either to build a three-wheeled buggy from a kit or design and create their own unique vehicle. Once their buggies were built, they learned how to program them to complete a series of increasingly challenging manoeuvres, developing their coding, problem-solving and debugging skills along the way.

The workshop concluded with the highlight of the day: adding remote-control capability before putting the cars head-to-head in a series of races. It was a fantastic opportunity for students to see how good design, careful construction and effective programming all contribute to success—while having plenty of fun at the same time!
