About

I'm Rich Gray, a professional engineer with other 13 years experience designing, inventing and bringing new ideas to life. I live in Charlton kings with my family and have two young children both at the Junior School. My job brings me alongside academics and entrepreneurs to develop brand new and emerging technologies, often at the cutting edge of their field, into commercial products that we may one day see on the shelves.

Growing up, I was always fascinated by how things worked and, more often the case, why things did not (especially after a little "modification"). With my growing up slowing down and my childrens' accelerating I'm on a mission to share my curiosity with them. With the help of the COVID lockdown, we conquered many home science projects, craft makes, inventions and robot weekend sessions. We had enough fun and success to persuade me to take some of these ideas out into the CK community.

Sessions with the Charlton Kings Brownies and Junior School were a hit too! and enough to give me the nudge to start Invent-It Hopefully I can support and inspire other kids with an interest in Inventing or any STEM and maybe even find the next Marie Curie or Isambard Kingdom Brunel!
